Skin Care Around The World – Thailand

The land of exotic nature, coconuts, long silky/shiny hair and ageless skin. Have you ever wonder why Thai women have a youthful glow skin? The beauty comes from within and Thai women have a nice healthy diet that makes skin radiant. I am vegetarian but I love their dishes, they are so yummy and full of exotic smells. The secrets are hidden in the traditional natural beauty remedies.

 

Thai Diet

They have a balanced diet full of fresh organic vegetables, coconuts, juices and seafood with a tiny bit of red meat in order to avoid clogging their bodies. and avoid it, as meat normally clogs the body. Their exotic dishes are full of spices that treat skin and look more youthful.

My diet is full of vegetables, rice (especially sushi – I can share with you the recipe that I am following), spices (turmeric etc) and chilly! I can add chilly everywhere!

 

Turmeric Face Mask

This little yellow powder that leaving stains can be used with excellent results in face masks or scrubs with excellent results. Turmeric helps to treat a lot of skin problems, including acne. The yellow powder is full of antioxidants, manganese (a mineral that helps collagen production),

Mix a tablespoon of turmeric powder with few drops of coconut milk and mix well until you will have a nice yellow paste. Apply it to a clean face for 10-15 minutes. Wash with plenty water. In case that you will have a yellow stain, do not worry, it will go… (Remember always to make a patch test first and consult your doctor before trying anything new on your skin).

Coconut oil

The one that probably you already know. Thai means coconut. It’s the most famous ingredient in Thai beauty regiment (and food recipes). The coconut oil belongs to their daily beauty routine.  It is a powerful oil (and maybe the safest of all) with a unique smell. Coconut oil is one of the best natural remedies for chapped lips.

Use coconut oil to remove waterproof makeup. You will be surprised at how fast and easy can remove waterproof mascara. Besides this will help you to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. AHAs

 

Tamarind

The tangy Tamarind is a storehouse of vitamins and nutrients. High in antioxidants, vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. It has a highly acidic formula that helps to naturally lighten skin. This fruit has Alpha-hydroxy acids that reduce blemishes and dark spots. Some of the other skin benefits from using Tamarind are treating cellulite, anti-aging, great skin toning and moisturizing, eliminates pigmentation, treats acne, removes dead skin cells, rejuvenate skin, and removes dark rings around the neck.

In a blender add few tamarinds, 1 teaspoon of raw honey, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of yogurt. Blend well until you will get a nice smooth paste. Apply on a clean facial skin for 15-20 minutes. Wash off.

 

Papaya

Papaya, pineapple, and mango are few of my most favorite fruits. Thai women use Papaya in their beauty routine because it contains a special enzyme named “papain”This unique enzyme treats dullness and giving you back a radiant skin. Papaya’s enzymes also remove dead skin cells and clean deeply and effectively the skin.

 

Lemongrass

Coconut and lemongrass are used (almost) in every Thai dishes. You can use this amazing detoxifying agent in different ways. You can make a tea with organic fresh lemongrass, or a tasteful smoothie with ginger, chopped lemongrass and green tea (optional but healthy!) or even add few chopped lemongrasses in a medium-sized bowl with hot water for steam inhalation in order to open your pores and clean very deeply your skin from dirt and excess oils.

 

 

Thai Massage

Yeap! Massage remove stress ad Thai women knows it very well. Massage is increasing blood circulation, releasing tension, relaxing body and mind and gives energy. Blood circulations help to deeply nourish skin cells.
