In that case, I would love to share that I am always excited to learn about Maya, Inca, and Aztecs civilizations as well as about modern Mexico. In view of, Mexican skincare secrets, I want to share with you that Mexico is on the top of my travel goals. With this in mind, I do not only want to taste their food but also to discover new traditional – natural – skin care secrets.
As a matter of fact, Mexicans state that it’s all about natural resources around them. They swear by all-natural ingredients. For this reason, I have searched and gathered the top natural skincare – hidden – secrets that Mexicans are in love with. From Cactus (yea you have heard right) coupled with DIY Mexican masks you going to end up loving this post. Because all those will give you a flawless skin.

Mexican Beauty Skincare Secrets (Hacks, DIY & more) »
The tepezcohuite tree is well known as Mimosa tenuiflora and “Skin Tree”, for obvious reasons. Not only, its bark is high in anti-microbial, but also in regenerative properties, and powerful analgesic. Mexicans swear by its powerful results. It fights wrinkles, treats psoriasis, burns, scars, eczema, minor injuries, acne, and not to mention that it fights stretch marks!
DIY Tepezcohuite Tree Masks
1 tablespoon of Tepezcohuite powder
1 tablespoon of clay
2-3 drops of Avocado oil
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and apply the mixture to a clean face. Leave on for 15 minutes and then wash off with warm water. Apply your favorite moisturization as normally.

Sea Salts Exfoliation
In the light of this section, I have to note that we already know the importance of exfoliation. Mexicans love rubbing their bodies with sea salts, before having a bath. Loofah’s sponges and body exfoliating towels are a must.
Tequila DIY Scrub
For the purpose of this post the tequila DIY scrub was a must! This is one my most favorite Mexican skincare secrets. I didn’t think that this tequila can clear our skin by removing dead skin cells. With this unbelievable scrub Mexicans remove their dark under eye circles.
¼ cup of Tequila
3 tablespoons of lime juice
¼ cup of organic virgin olive oil
½ cup of organic sea salts
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
Add all the above ingredients in a bowl and stir well until they will be well combined. Wash your face with warm water. Apply the Tequila DIY Scrub with gentle – massage moves in circular motions. Leave the mixture for 5-10 minutes, if possible. Wash off with warm water and apply your favorite moisturization.
Cactus innards not only have cooling properties but also they have healing and detoxifying. For this reason Mexicans are using them to freshen and unclogs their pores with a body-massage. Cactus is not only packed with vitamins and antioxidants. But also it contains vitamin E and K that brightens skin. This beauty secrets has roots from Aztecs.

Avocado is the vegetable (some people they call it fruit) that is in the first place of Mexicans’ hearts. It improves skin elasticity, moisturizes and heals dry skin, reduce wrinkles and fine lines.
