You have an awesome day to spend your free time, and boom! You’ve burnt and the pain is not leaving for 1-2 weeks. Seriously? Fortunately, you can change the way that your day turned for you with the below weird sunburn treatments.
Just slice a raw (prefer to be refrigerated, for a cool effect) potato into thin slices and rub into the affected areas.
The probiotics in Greek Yogurt (it’s richer in those probiotics) helps to restore the skin’s natural barrier and neutralizing the sting of the burn. Leave it on the sunburnt area for 5-10 minutes, then wipe it off with a cool damp towel and moisturize well (preferably a moisturizer with aloe vera or jojoba oil).
The tomato juice is acidic but it doesn’t hurt when you apply it to burnt skin. Have on mind that is better to eat them to protect against sunburn than use the tomato juice on the affected area. The protection offered by this red paste is quite similar to a low SPF!
Baking soda not only can help you regain the natural pH levels of your skin but also balancing acid and alkaline levels for a more comfortable, sunburn. Unfortunately, you have to be careful with baking soda because can be harsh to the skin. Indulge only in a 15-minute soak in a warm bath with an added 1/4-cup baking soda. Apply to your skin after the bath jojoba oil for a deep moisturization.
**P.S. Try using cornstarch if you don’t have baking soda.
Mix 4 parts cold water with 1 part skim milk and then soak a towel in the mixture. Apply it to on the sunburnt for a half hour every four hours to cool down the pain.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Soak a towel in a 1 by 1 dilution ratio of apple cider vinegar and cold water, then press it gently on the affected areas pH-balancing effect and for an instant soothing. Remember that maybe it will sting a bit.
