9 Hacks to Reduce, Prevent and Get Rid Of Stretch Marks Easily & Fast

When our skin changes shape extremely fast (weight gain or weight loss), stretch marks are taking places to our skin. It’s something that all people can get. Stretch marks are most common when a woman is pregnant or someone wants to lose weight extremely fast. They appear on your skin as pinkish or purple lines and they are becoming white; with a different texture. They are most common to be found in the abdominal area, buttocks, breast, thighs and upper arms.

I have stretch marks on all the above areas except on upper arms. I love my body as it is, but sometimes I want to reduce those marks, especially on my thighs, because on the other areas are not so visible (or at least anymore). I’ve gathered all the hacks that I’ve used and I’ve seen incredible results and I can easily say that they‘ve helped me a lot! I am not the person that I want to remove them so much, in order to do those hacks every day and remove them completely from my body, but I supposed some people out there are having a big problem with their stretch marks and maybe they can be affected psychologically if they have too many, so sharing this post is caring for people you know with stretch marks.

You can use one hack or a combination of them to reduce or prevent stretch marks, but be careful, use only those who are suitable for you (especially for pregnant). However, some people can see results faster than others and some hacks maybe will not work for you as some of them maybe will do wonders to you (do a patch test first as always). Remember to love yourself and your body as it is and every scar is a whole story and memories. xoxo

Massage with gentle-circular moves the problematic areas with plenty (or add little by little) of VapoRub and wrap those areas with a plastic wrap and leave it overnight and wash it on the next morning. You will see results fast, but do not do it more than 2-3 times per week. You can use it this hack for a month and then let your skin to relax from it for a month and start again from the beginning if needed.



Pregnants can massage their bellies, breast, and thighs with Vaseline for 5-10 minutes, once or twice per day in order to prevent stretch marks. Extra tip: Use Vaseline with cocoa butter for even faster results.




Mix well 1 teaspoon of raw white sugar with castor oil (preferable) almond oil or avocado oil or jojoba oil or coconut oil. With this simple DIY exfoliation you will see amazing results if you are planning to use it daily before your shower. Remember to leave the mixture on your skin for 5-15 minutes before you will wash it.



4.Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can lighten your skin and your stretch marks. The acids in the lemon juice can remove dead skin cells and make the whole process to work faster. Extract the lemon juice from one or more, if needed, organic lemons and apply on the affected areas with circular moves. Leave the juice for 5 minutes and re-apply to have a thicker layer of lemon juice and leave it this time for 10 minutes more and wash it with lukewarm water.



5.Egg Whites

They are packed with proteins and they are filling your skin with plenty of collagen that will help you a lot to get rid of your stretch marks. Beat only the white and leave it on your skin for 15-20minutes and wash it with plenty of water.



6.Potato Juice

Potato juice is packed full of vitamins and minerals that help your skin to heal fast. To reduce stretch marks with potato juice, you need to cut one or more potatoes if needed, into thick slices. Rub a slice on your skin with gentle circular motions for 10 minutes and leave the juice for another 5-15 minutes before you will wash it.


7.Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is an amazing ingredient to promote circulation and gives you a soft glowing skin with less visible stretch marks. You need to massage the problematic areas for 5-10 minutes 2-3 times per day. Try to use parallel one more hack in order to see results fast, because if you are going to use this hack only you may see something on the horizon after 2-4 months. Extra tip: if you want to use pure cocoa butter, you can melt it a little bit and apply it when the butter is still warm (not hot).



8.Castor Oil

It has amazing properties that reduce not only stretch marks fast but also wrinkles and some other kinds of scars. Warm a little bit the Castor oil and apply it on your skin before it cools down completely. Do not wash it!



9.Aloe Vera

Aloe vera gel maybe is the most well-known hack to get rid of stretch marks.  Cut one or more leaves and take the gel from them and rub the affected areas with the gel for 10 minutes, leave the gel on your skin for another 10-20minures before will wash it. Extra tip: wrap the affected areas with cling film and leave the gel on your skin overnight and wash it well in the morning.
