Skinfood, Honey Pot Lip Balm

I love, both, honey mandarin and berries and I thought to give a try to those very-very cute and little lip balms. Are they amazing when you see them?? I don’t have the perfect lips (I would love to but…). I have dry and chapped lips on the very hot and very cold days of the year, so a lip balm is a must for me. My beauty secret for sexy lips is that I am brushing them with a wet toothbrush every morning for few seconds, after that, I leave them to dry for a few seconds more and I am applying a lip balm or Vaseline. I am doing my makeup as usual and at the end, I am taking off with a tissue the balm and I am applying my lipstick. My lips are incredibly soft and nourished as clouds (haha). (Read more here about 8 Lipstick Hack You Should Know)

Skinfood made three lovely honeypots, one for honey and one for berry. I bought both, they are very cheap anyway.

I fell in love with their package. This little honey pot is adorable. It reminds me the actual honeypot that I have. Look also the tool for the honey (balm) that they’ve made!

Berry #1

Honey Pot – Berry #1

Firstly the color is not exactly as you will see it. When I applied it, it is more like a rose-tinted balm. It has a jelly texture that can be applied easily. I use the honey applicator on the side because I found it a little bit helpful to take with it a little bit of the balm, without greasing my nails (I have long to medium length nails and sometimes is a little bit difficult to take the product off). I have to admit that the tool is not only helpful but also a little bit uncomfortable, because of the size. The final thoughts for the berry one is that I love that my it nourishes and moisturizes my lips. Have I told you that I quite like the smell?

Mandarin #1

The formula is quite similar to the berry. The difference that I found is the smell, which is lovely too and the color which is a very light orange tinted.

Honey Pot – Honey #3

It nourishes and moisturizes my lips, the smell is pretty nice too, but it doesn’t have any color when I apply it to my lips, just a glossy finish. I was expecting a little bit more from the formula, but that’s ok for the price… It’s not the best lip balm that I have but definitely not the worse. Just a balm that it worth to try. Maybe for you will work better.. If you tried it, tell me how good you found it.

Unfortunately, the honey one is currently out of stock on Amazon but you can get yours from SkinFood at the price of $10 – €8.50.
